Incest
The regular bringing to light of intimate experiences of incest (books, testimonies, films#hellip;) may suggest a collective awareness of the need for multi-faceted action to eradicate this scourge. But soon afterwards, the subject seems to slip back into oblivion, even if sporadic progress is made.
This is why it is so important to regularly shine the spotlight of public awareness on incest, and this is the primary intention of this exhibition.
Alongside the realities of individual experiences, this exhibition will invite us to reflect on the place of incest in our society, in a historical and political context, and in particular in the way it relates more generally to relations of power.
How can we combine personal, artistic and political approaches?
That's what's at stake here, and what we're looking for.
